Subject: Use of Football pitches and spectator guidance

Dear league Secretaries

It has been brought to our attention that last weekend a number of teams using the football pitches throughout the borough which are provided by the Council, that the teams officials using the areas were failing to follow the guidelines as set out by the government and the council. With reference to the restrictions of spectators at the games being played

Please can you ensure that the guidelines are there for the benefit of everyone, during this Pandemic and that the measure must be adhered to at all times. It is essential that these measures are there to minimise any impact on individuals and the local community.

We ask that this directive is followed through, so on our behalf please can you cascade the request to all your teams within the leagues you administer.

It is essential that the clubs are made individually aware of the risks by not following the appropriate guidelines and adhere to them at all times so avoiding any unnecessary measure having to be taken at a later date.

Finally that we ask the team also to ensure that all debris is removed after a game, this is also to minimise the risk of the virus being transmitted.

On the council behalf would we appreciate you cascading this to the team officials

Regards
