Report

Mike O’Sullivan Garages Third Division.

The constant rainfall caused the loss of many fixtures but one did survive the weather in the League.

Leaders Vale Athletic took on a youthful West Kirby United Whites team that battled well throughout a very difficult fixture and despite taking an early lead through Sam Coley found themselves 6-1 down at the break. This due to some superb football as Frank Ward bagged a fine hat-trick, with Matty Madden netting a double and Liam Kelly added a single. The second period was a more even affair and Luke Austin scored an excellent header following a flowing move to leave the final score 6-2 to Vale who maintained their 100% unbeaten run.

Clarification is still required from the English FA and UK Government on whether fixtures will continue following the latest shutdown headlines, but all teams will be informed at the earliest possible moment.
