League Notice Sunday 14th February 2021

By Phil Kemble

Message from Tom Potter League Secretary

Secretaries,

As you are all aware the government have maintained the lockdown period for the safety of all concerned.

Therefore, the February fixtures are postponed until further notice. If anything changes to enable fixtures, you will be informed immediately.

However, I will schedule fixtures for March and they will be sent out in the coming weeks in the hope of them being played.

But please remember that these will only be hypothetical and provisional until a definite date of restart has been provided by the government. Please believe me when I say it is just as frustrating for the LMC as it is for you and your players that we are not playing fixtures.

I have attempted to keep you all informed of any news that is available, but I'm sure the broadcasts on TV have provided the same bleak picture. Both the CCFA and Wirral DFA have suspended their competitions for the same reasons as above and the WB Council will not reopen grounds until they have had the all clear from the government.

I'm sorry I cannot be more positive, but whilst this virus continues, we will all have to patient and accept this suspension period until lockdown is lifted.

Please remain safe and secure and stay well.
