Wirral DFA Amateur Cup semi-final

Sheridans FC eased into the Wirral DFA Amateur Cup final following a comprehensive 4-1 defeat of Poulton Vics S&S thanks to goals from Leon Bower, Shaun Burgess, Andrew Bolton and Connor Bagley in an excellent team performance.

Mike O’Sullivan Garages First Division

Mike O’Sullivan Garages First Division action saw Vineyard close the gap at the top when winning a nine-goal thriller 5-4 versus Eastham Rangers that could have gone either way. On target for Rangers were Jordan Crowder-2, Sean Williams and James Beddows, with the replies coming from Ryan Slater with a treble and a double from Gary Winders.

JASGA FC and Vale Athletic fought out a 2-2 draw that keeps JASGA top of the division, with their scorers being Callum Morrison and a late equaliser from Darren Pritchard that followed a goal apiece from Frank Ward and James Harris for Vale.

Comeback of the day came from Wallasey Wanderers who fought back from 1-3 down to win 4-3 versus Liscard Panthers thanks to efforts by Macauley Lathom, Joel Hunter, Mike Madden and Connor Jackson. This after Dale Crawford-2 and Chris Ledsom-Robinson had given Panthers a solid lead, but defensive failures let them down yet again.

Eastham Rangers Colts took the spoils against Bromborough Town as Dillon Thomas and Nathan Saunders grabbed a goal apiece to keep Colts in the top five with a 2-0 success.

Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division

Only one fixture in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division resulted in a 4-0 success for Ellesmere Port Red Lions over Bromborough Athletic due to goals from Tom Jones, Shea Turpin, Andy Supple and Jordan Owen that keeps them in the promotion hunt.

Second Round Second Division Cup

Second round action in the Second Division Cup saw Wallasey Wolves draw 0-0 with Park Royal, but went through after winning the penalty shoot-out 7-6 with Ben Millington hitting the decisive spot kick.

Despite Connor Reeves netting a fine hat-trick for North West Harriers they were eliminated by Shore Villa who hit back through Mark Houston-2, Ben Windle-2 and Ethan Brassey to secure a 5-3 victory.

Shock of the round came from Oxton Celtic who beat previously unbeaten One O’Clock Gun 3-2. as Joe Deehan bagged a brace and Harry Sutton a single in a great team effort. Hitting the responses were Wayne Gibbons and Morgan Galer.

Primrose cruised into the next round when beating Shore Villa Athletic 6-2 with goals from Adam Walker-3, Declan Kinnear, Dean Scott and Alex Broadbent as Rees Oldham and Tom Taylor claimed the replies.
