Report compiled by Tom Potter League Secretary and Press Officer

Cheshire Sunday Cup 1st Round

Cheshire Sunday Cup 1st round action saw JASGA FC overcome a very good Cheadle FC outfit on their own patch when winning 4-0 with goals Daren Pritchard scoring twice in the first half and Stuart Speed added two after the break, but were thankful to their goalkeeper Walker saving a penalty when leading 2-0. They will now play George & Dragon in the 2nd round.

The Mike O’Sullivan Garages First Division

The Mike O’Sullivan Garages First Division provided the best comeback to date as Wallasey Wanderers fought back from 0-4 down versus Liscard Panthers to record a magnificent 5-4 victory.

Dale Crawford fired a superb hat-trick to give Panthers 3-0 lead by the break and Tom Ellis added a fourth early in the second half, before both Macauley Lathom and Connor Jackson netted a brace apiece to level matters and then John Albiston completed the fightback by netting the winner in a fantastic encounter.

Sitting top of the division are Sheridans FC as they bowled over PLCCFC in a 6-0 defeat thanks to a treble from Leon Jones and singles from Leon Bower, Jack Brookes and Max Tatler as they retained their 100% start to the season.

Keeping their top four place are Vale Athletic following their 2-0 success over Bromborough Town as Luke Warrington and Dean Wylde found the net.

Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division

Staying top of the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division are Trident who came from behind to beat Shore Villa Athletic 3-1. Ian Scott gave Athletic a good start but goals from Stephen Teale, Sam Bonner and David Tacey earned the leaders a battling success.

Still unbeaten with a 100% record are Ellesmere Port Red Lions who beat a battling Bromborough Athletic 2-1 due to Tom Chadwick and Hayden Sinclair scoring and they are second just one point behind.

Adam Walker netted a fine brace of goals for Primrose FC to seal a 2-0 victory over Park Royal and move above them in the league.

A goal apiece from Sam Range, Ethan Brassey and Ben Windle ensured a 3-0 win for Shore Villa against Wallasey Wolves which takes them into third place.

Oxton Celtic remain winless despite Joe Dhenin bagging a great goal, as they were eclipsed by One O’clock Gun in a 3-1 defeat.

Best of luck is wished to all our teams playing in the Wirral District FA Amateur cup next Sunday.
