COVID 19 – Guidance from Wirral Borough Council
22nd September 2020

Please read the email answer from Ally Noonan of the Wirral Borough Council after I requested an update on the current situation and further to government announcements.
Please ensure you adhere to all rules and directives so as the season can commence without problems.

Those who open the hired facilities and secure them, must now remove any of their equipment from those facilities.
They should also ensure the toilets are fit for use and sanitized, but you CANNOT use the changing facilities or showers as detailed below.

Teams who ignore these rules could lose the use of WB Council facilities, which would mean you not being able to play any of their pitches!!

This Covid-19 situation is not going away soon, so please adhere to what is being asked and look after yourselves and your players.

Report from Ally Noonan Wirral Borough Council

Wirral are aiming to restart grassroot football on Saturday 26 September 2020 and toilet facilities will be available for the clubs that opted for pavilion use.

Changing rooms / shower facilities will remain closed.
Attendants will be opening and closing the toilet facilities at each site.

If clubs have equipment stored in the pavilions, they will have to contact the park manager and arrange for it to be removed prior to the season start date.

Just checked the BBC / Govt site - “It will still be possible for larger groups to take part in organised sports outdoors.”

If Wirral’s decision changes in the next few days, I will notify you immediately.
Kind regards
