MES Ltd First Division & Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division

The midweek fixture in the MES Ltd First Division saw Finnigan FC win a five-goal thriller versus Farmers Arms to close the gap between the top two as a brace of goals from Adam McCreevy and a penalty from Jack Fletcher secure a 3-2 victory.
Bank holiday Sunday saw Vineyard beat Wallasey Wanderers 4-2 to stay in contention of the top four as Ben Hawitt netted twice and Macauley Lewis and Mike Sprott grabbed a goal apiece, as Matty Madden replied with a double to complete Wanderers season.
One O’clock Gun remain unbeaten with four games to go after beating AFC Shore Villa 6-1, with goals from Jamie Edwards-2, Billy Rainbow, Leighton Clarke, an own goal and the first of the season for Liam Keating.
Two midweek fixtures in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division enabled North West Harriers to seal the runners-up spot following their 7-0 defeat of Wallasey Wolves and scores were shared between New Brighton Town and FC Greasby in a great 3-3 encounter as Ewan Sait bagged a double and Ellis Lamb a single for Town, with Greasby replying through Sam McAdam, Cam Thomas and Leyton Abbott. On Sunday Shore Villa completed their campaign unbeaten in the league and secured the title with a hard-fought victory over third placed Barnston FC, who led at the interval, but Villa took the spoils with a 2-1 win. Congratulations to manager Jack Griffiths and his squad for attaining a league and Dutchman cup double.
The last game of the season for New Brighton Town saw them eclipse Shore Villa Athletic 6-1 thanks to four goal James Carlin and singles from Ewan Sait and Oscar Pugh, as Jamie Parker fired the lone response.
