A fine hat-trick from Bengi Adams gave West Kirby Athletic an excellent 3-1 success versus Poulton Vics S&S in the Wirral DFA Amateur Cup 1st round.
But in the 2nd round of that competition AFC Shore Villa suffered a 3-1 defeat against Vauxhall Motors U-21’s.
Despite Liam Pitt bagging an excellent treble in the MES Ltd First Division for Farmers Arms they were beaten 5-3 by Trident who had Louis Brown, Lewis Clarke, Sam Bonner, Michal Mocha and Tom Mulryan as their marksmen.
PLCCFC prevented Finnigan FC from edging closer to the top as they ran out 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Matty Hollis, Danny Hardman, James Murray and Matty Beaman, with Lewis Walker scoring the lone response,
Action from the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division saw leaders Shore Villa maintain their 100% unbeaten run as they beat Ellesmere Port Red Lions in a very even affair as Kevin Walker and Connor Hodson bagged a goal apiece.
Shore Villa Athletic stay in the top four after they ravaged Wallasey Wolves 7-1 with Jamie Parker netting a fine hat-trick and Charlie Roberts, Paul Reddington, Jordan Martin and Ciaran Byrne all claiming singles in a great team effort.
A goal apiece from Adam Hanaghan and Adam Probbing earned North West Harriers a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Park Royal who replied through Grant Reay.
New Brighton Town climbed above Bromborough Athletic following their 4-2 success over them thanks to single efforts from Ewan Sait, James Carlin, Oscar Pugh and Joe Roberts, with the replies coming from Jamie Duckers and Jamie McNulty.
Barnston FC stay in the title hunt after winning a seven-goal thriller versus FC Greasby, who led 2-0 at one point, but goals from Jason Stephens, Joel Hunter and a double from Josh Walters gave Barnston the edge in a 4-3 result. Netting for Greasby were Louis Seymour, Jack Cooper and Luke Steele in an end-to-end tussle.
