Cup competitions dominated this week’s fixtures and provided the league with two cup finals to organise.

First Division Cup semi-finals

In the First Division Cup semi-finals Eastham Rangers Colts overcame divisional leaders JASGA FC 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out, after the game ended 1-1, with Jack Fletcher scoring for JASGA and Ben Jones replying for Colts.

The other semi-final saw Sheridans FC dispose of Bromborough Town 3-1 thanks to a brace of goals from Leon Jones and a single from Leon Bower and they have now made it to their second final of the season.

Dutchman Cup

Through to the final of the Dutchman Cup are One O’Clock Gun and Oxton Celtic, with the latter beating Ellesmere Port Red Lions by the odd goal in three. On target for Oxton were Harry Sutton and Joe Dhenin with Dom Hoppe bagging the lone response.

The Gun progressed following a 7-0 victory over Shore Villa due to Jamie Edwards and Nathan Johnson both netting doubles with Morgan Galer and Wayne Gibbons adding singles and an own goal completed the score line.

Magee Cup 2nd round

In the Magee Cup 2nd round Wallasey Wanderers eased home 5-1 versus Eastham Rangers as Macauley Lathom netted a hat-trick and Connor Jackson and James Moreton added singles, with Martin Marshall claiming the consolation.

Vineyard progressed past Liscard Panthers with a 6-2 success in which Tony Langrell-2. Ben Hawitt-2, Ryan Slater and Declan Cleary found the net. Hitting the replies were Will Callanan and Adam Chadwick.

Mike O’Sullivan Garages First Division

The only fixture in the Mike O’Sullivan Garages First Division saw Vale Athletic beat PLCCFC 5-1 with goals from Frank Ward-2, James Harris, Dean Wylde and Lewis Ward to take the points with Kieran Gregory scoring the consolation.

Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division

Result of the day came in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division as Bromborough Athletic rode to their first success of the campaign with a battling 2-1 win over North West Harriers as Shaun Cahill and Lewis Dixon netted the goals and Adam Pickering fired the lone response.

Leaders Trident fought out a 0-0 draw with third placed Primrose to keep both teams in the promotion frame.

Park Royal enjoyed a 4-0 success over Wallasey Wolves thanks to singles from Peter Humphreys, Ollie Stackhouse, Mark Houghton and Jack Cureton but remain mid-table.
