MES Ltd First Division action saw Finnigan FC miss the chance to go clear top of the division when only drawing with Wallasey Wanderers 1-1 in fixture that was a very even affair. Netting for Finnigan was John Pomphrett and bagging the response was Declan Netherton.
A solitary goal from Danny Hardman was enough to seal the points for PLCCFC as they overcame the battling Trident in a game of few chances, but Wanderers can still finish above them due to having games in hand.
A goal apiece from Seb Pierce and Gabriel Cooper enabled West Kirby Athletic to defeat AFC Shore Villa 2-1, but Oldershaw FC were unable to field a team and so Vineyard were awarded the points.

In the Capitol Cup semi-final One O’clock Gun went through to the final following their 2-0 success over Farmers Arms who certainly made things difficult for the winners. However, goals from Leighton Clarke and Nathan Johnston were enough to seal the result for another final appearance.

The overdue Second Division Cup semi-final resulted in a 4-0 victory for Shore Villa as they took their chances against a young FC Greasby team who played their part in a good game. On target for Villa were Tom Oliver, Kevin Walker, Brandon Thomas and Jay Thomas who scored the goal of the game.

Bromborough Athletic edged past Wallasey Wolves in the Dutchman Cup 1st round thanks to Joe Walker and Jordan McAteer scoring a goal each and will now play Shore Villa Athletic on Tuesday evening in round two.

The only fixture in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division saw North West Harriers take a three-point advantage over Barnston FC in the race for second place as they won a five-goal thriller 3-2 with a double strike from George Redfern and a single from Joe Murphy, as both teams battle for promotion.

The Second Division Cup Final will take place at Cammell Laird 1907 FC’s ground on Sunday 7th April with an 11.00am kick off between North West Harriers and Shore Villa FC
