Magee Cup 1st round 2nd leg

Magee Cup 1st round 2nd leg ties resulted in victories for PLCCFC, Liscard Panthers, Vineyard and One O’clock Gun.
After an enthralling 3-3 encounter between Bromborough Town and PLCCFC the game was decided by a penalty shoot-out and saw PLCC FC progress to the next round with a 7-6 success from the spot kicks. In normal time Andy Simpson-2 and Alex Ramsay scored for Town, but on target for PLCC FC was James Murray with a fine treble.

Vineyard overcame a 2-1, 1st leg deficit to beat Trident 3-1 to earn a 4-3 verdict as Ben Hawitt, Ryan Slater and Joel Campbell netted the goals and Tom Mulryan scored the consolation.

Liscard Panthers also progressed as they won 3-1 versus Wallasey Wanderers for a 4-1 aggregate success. Matty Madden scored again for Wanderers, but efforts from Dale Crawford-2 and Curtis Ledsom-Robinson sealed the victory.

One O’clock Gun held a 3-1 lead from the 1st leg but had to come from a goal down to beat JASGA FC 3-1 for a 6-2 victory overall. Opening the scoring for JASGA was Connor Edwards and the Guns keeper kept them in the tie with some fine saves before Ben Morris, Jamie Edwards and Kevin Machin completed the comeback victory.

Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division

Action from the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division saw West Kirby Athletic maintain their promotion push when defeating Barnston FC 4-0, with Seb Peirce bagging a fine hat-trick and Tom Cameron a single to go top of the division.
AFC Shore Villa could have shared the top billing but were beaten 2-0 by Oxton Celtic in the upset of the day thanks to brace of goals from Casey Ford.

Despite Grant Reay netting for Park Royal, they lost 7-1 versus Shore Villa who had Lloyd Kearney-3, Mark Houston-2, Sam Range and James Caul-Patrick as their marksmen.

Ellesmere Port Red Lions got back to winning ways as they defeated Wallasey Wolves 3-1, but only due to both teams agreeing to a stand-in official due to Joe Hardwick failing to attend his appointment. Scoring for Lions were Shea Turpin, Harry Brassey and Dom Hoppe, with Joe Roberts claiming the lone response.

Farmers Arms had a hard-fought victory over North West Harriers when winning 2-1, with goals from Alex Martin and Kyle Ward and are now on level points with them. Bagging the solo reply was Conor Reeves.
