In the MES Ltd First Division two teams lost their unbeaten starts in this the 60th Anniversary season of the league and saw Finnigan FC move into second place after beating Trident 2-1 in a very even encounter as Kieran McCabe equalised and John Pomphrett netted the decider. This after Dylan Cotgrave had put Trident ahead. PLCCFC netted their first victory when overcoming Vineyard 3-1 thanks to singles from Matthew Hollis, Lee Davey and James Murray, with Ben Hawitt hitting the lone response. Oldershaw FC regained winning ways when defeating Wallasey Wanderers 3-0 due to efforts from Ben Abbott, Kyle Sloan and Dale Crawford in an end-to-end affair. Opening their league account and keeping a clean sheet were Farmers Arms when beating AFC Shore Villa 4-0 with Sam Saunders, Danny Andrew, Liam Pitt and Mike Jenkinson all on target. Plenty of goals came in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division as Shore Villa set the pace with an 11-0 success over Park Royal thanks to Connor Hodson bagging four goals, Mark Houston-2, Lloyd Kearney-2 plus singles from Sam Range, James Thomas and Tom Oliver in a dominant performance. Barnston FC kept pace with a 5-2 defeat of New Brighton Town courtesy of goals from Jason Stephens, John Albiston and a hat-trick by Jamie Mitchell. Replying for Town were Robert Campbell with a 35-yard rocket and a penalty from Andy Foy in a good game.Shore Villa Athletic also notched five-goal when taking the spoils versus Bromborough Athletic in a 5-2 verdict. On target for Villa were Jordan Martin and Charlie Roberts with a brace apiece and a single from Luis Shirley. Scoring for Bromborough were Rowan Huggins and Jack Whitby in a spirited performance.FC Greasby gained a 2-1 victory over Wallasey Wolves due to efforts from Corey Casey and Harrison Sherlock as Luke Hardwick hit the only reply in a battling encounter.
