Action from the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division came in the only fixture and saw North West Harriers leapfrog Barnston FC into second place following an excellent first half performance that resulted in a 3-1 success, as Conor Reeves and George Redfern found the net and an own goal completed their scoring. Josh Walters netted the lone response.
Two fixtures took place in the MES Ltd First Division with West Kirby Athletic continuing their fine form with a nard-fought 1-0 victory over Farmers Arms thanks to a solitary goal from Nathan Leyland.
Trident and Oldershaw FC fought out a thrilling 2-2 encounter to share the spoils as a Louis Brown penalty and a Jake Williams effort recorded for Trident, with the replies coming from Ben Abbott and Darren Parry.
Shore Villa Athletic stormed through to round two of the Wirral District FA junior cup when eliminating PGSG Germain 6-3, as Jordan Martin scored four times, with Ciaran Byrne and Jamie Peacock adding singles. Also, through are FC Greasby following their 3-1 success over Upton United courtesy of goals from Corey Casey with a brace and Cameron Thomas with a single.
Not so fortunate were Park Royal, New Brighton Town and Wallasey Wolves who all went out without scoring a goal.
Two teams entered the Cheshire Sunday Cup and provided a 50% success rate as Vineyard travelled to Sale to defeat Ladybird FC 4-1 in a good team performance that saw Alex Sandham score twice and Dave Favager and Albie Mitchell netted a goal apiece.
PLCCFC were also involved in a 4-1 result, but lost by that score away to Wellington FC as Matty Beaman netted their only goal in a battling contest.
