Stormy weather caused the Wirral Borough Council to close all grass pitches this weekend on Thursday which means plenty of rearranged fixtures can be expected in the New Year.
But one fixture did take place on a 4G surface in the MES Ltd First Division and saw One O’clock Gun extend their lead at the summit to seven points as they bowled over PLCCFC in an excellent 4-0 success. Both sides competed well in wet conditions but the fire power of the Gun proved too strong, as Tyler Smith bagged a brace and both Jamie Edwards and Ben Morris netted singles in a game well controlled by referee Keith Maddox.
